Modern air power depends on precise, reliable, and adaptable weapons capable of operating across a wide range of mission environments. The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) Armament Directorate plays a central role in delivering these capabilities by managing the life cycle of the Air Force’s air-delivered weapons—from concept development and testing to production and long-term sustainment.
Headquartered primarily at Eglin Air Force Base, the Armament Directorate oversees a diverse portfolio of munitions used by the U.S. Air Force and allied partners. Its work spans air-to-air missiles, precision air-to-ground weapons, and stand-off strike systems designed to support missions ranging from air superiority to long-range precision strike. The directorate also focuses on advancing emerging technologies, including networked munitions and other next-generation capabilities.
Supporting this mission requires close collaboration between government program offices and industry partners. Through the Engineering, Professional, and Administrative Support Services (EPASS) contract, Odyssey provides technical and acquisition support across the directorate’s programs.

Under EPASS, Odyssey delivers expertise in:
- Systems Engineering
- Acquisition and Program Management
- Test and Evaluation Planning
- Logistics and Sustainment
- Financial Management
- Specialized Engineering Analysis
Odyssey personnel work alongside government teams to help ensure programs move efficiently through the acquisition process, support testing activities, and sustain fielded systems throughout their service lives.
Through this partnership, Odyssey contributes engineering insight, program support, and technical expertise that help strengthen the Armament Directorate’s ability to develop and sustain advanced weapons—supporting the continued readiness and effectiveness of U.S. Air Force air power.
