Wild Blue Cats
Jaime Socotch
Deputy PM, Space & Missile Defense Group
Wild Blue Cats is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to saving the precious lives of cats and kittens who are abandoned, abused, neglected, displaced or surrendered, and to find them permanent homes or provide lifetime sanctuary or foster care. They have an extensive foster program, particularly for kittens and pregnant cats, with volunteers key to their operations. Wild Blue also conducts Trap, Neuter, Release (TNR) ventures in the Colorado Springs area. Their Black Forest facility offers a comfortable environment for adult cats and a specialized outdoor area for feral cats. Wild Blue ensures that 100% of the cats helped are spayed / neutered, vaccinated and, when not feral, microchipped.
Jaime Socotch has been a passionate volunteer with Wild Blue Cats, starting as a foster parent for kittens. Over the years, she has become an integral part of the organization’s annual Fancy Feast Online Auction. When the pandemic forced the committee to pivot from their usual in-person event to an online format, the auction exceeded all expectations, raising $40k. Since then, it has remained an online-only event, and Jaime has been a driving force behind its success.
From gathering donations, including physical items and gift cards from local businesses, to packaging baskets, photographing items, and entering them into the system, Jaime’s efforts have helped raise over $150k in the last four years. These funds are crucial for covering medical care, emergencies, rescue trips, TNR efforts, and other vital programs.

Adoption Events and Ongoing Impact
Wild Blue Cats hosts seven adoption events each month, both at the sanctuary and in local pet stores. To date, they have saved over 10,000 cats and are actively working to reduce the feral cat population in the area. With the support of our community and volunteers like Jaime, Wild Blue continues to make a meaningful impact on the lives of countless cats. Thank you, Jaime, for helping save lives, you are making a difference!
In recognition of Jaime’s support to Wild Blue, Odyssey is proud to make a $2,500 donation to this fine organization. If you’d like to learn more about Wild Blue, check out their website, Facebook feed or reach out to Jaime directly.
