Welcome Stefania Dobre and Jessica Sherman!

Stefania DobreOdyssey welcomes Stefania Dobre to our leadership team as the Executive Director of our Medical Research Group! Stefania holds an MS in Healthcare Administration and is a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator. She brings years of military-relevant medical research experience for our continued operational execution and growth in preclinical and clinical research.

Jessica ShermanOdyssey welcomes Jessica Sherman as our Director of Contracts! Jessica comes to us with more than 17 years of experience in which she served in various contracting and leadership roles, and was the Chair of the Contracts Leadership Development Program.

Dustin Hicks To Lead Odyssey’s Technical Center

Dustin HicksDustin Hicks has replaced Fred Gregory as the director of Odyssey’s Technical Center. The Tech Center is a cross-domain / cross-functional team of Odyssey employees committed to solving hard problems for the DoD. Dustin will help coordinate responses to our proposals and keep Odyssey on the front lines of technological innovation. Dustin brings years of acquisition experience, most recently within the Future Vertical Lift Cross Functional Team at Army Futures Command, and will push Odyssey forward towards our new horizons.

Odyssey August Managers Meeting

Odyssey held our quarterly managers meeting this August in Annapolis Maryland. At this meeting, each Executive Director, in collaboration with the Directors of Business Development and Capture, presented their strategic growth plans for their respective division groups. These plans outlined the specific customers we plan to serve, as well as the capabilities and competencies that Odyssey will develop as a company over the next few years to meet new challenges across a broad spectrum of mission areas. As we move into our budgeting season, Odyssey will use these growth plans to help project growth trajectory over the next few years. There are exciting things on the horizon for Odyssey!

New Work

May was a busy month for us, as we won 3 new contracts!

Odyssey was awarded an OMNIBUS IV Contract for Market Segment 2 Research and Development Support Services and Market Segment 3 Regulatory Processes. Under this contract, Odyssey will compete for task orders supporting research and development requirements including scientific, technical, administrative, and medical staffing and professional services, as well as regulations protecting the welfare and rights of human and animals in medical research. Tonya Torgeson, who was responsible for the Odyssey OMNIBUS IV bid, notes, “Over the last five years, Odyssey has steadily grown our presence in the DoD medical research community and earned a stellar reputation for our staff’s integrity, collaboration with our customers, and commitment to exceptional performance. I am particularly excited to work with our team of like-minded partners who contributed to this win for Odyssey.”

Also in May, the ESTA, Odyssey Joint Venture (JV), ESTA^ODY, won its first contract, the Product Support Management/Integration (PSMI) Multiple Award Contract (MAC)! Under this IDIQ contract,  ESTA^ODY will compete for Task Orders to provide Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR) Sustainment Group (NSG) with program management and logistics support services in acquisition and sustainment for the life cycle of specified weapons systems, system of systems (SoS), sub- systems, and Support Equipment (SE).

Odyssey was part of the winning team on for the HQ Cyberspace Capabilities Center (CCC) Cybersecurity Information Assurance Support (CIAS) contract. Support is for the Department of the Air Force (DAF) owned and operated portions of the DoD Information Network (DoDIN) and executive agency support to Combatant Commanders. These include U.S. Central Command, and North American Aerospace Defense Command, U.S. Northern Command, U.S. Strategic Command, U.S. Cyber Command, and U.S. Transportation Command.

The SMD Group recently was awarded a 5-year Space Domain Awareness (SDA) contract, the recompete for Odyssey’s SPG contract. This contract was identified as a strategic target for Odyssey and is SMD’s largest contract. Through the SDA contract, Odyssey provides technical and strategic engagement services to achieve the full scope of the SDA Support in the areas of Strategic Planning, Enterprise Integration, Technical Acquisition, Engineering Management, Sustainment Engineering, and System Development.
