About the Plan

Hospital indemnity insurance is designed to help pay for the costs of a hospital admission, and to supplement the out-of-pocket costs you may incur.

While health insurance pays for medical services after copays, co-insurance, and deductibles are met, hospital indemnity insurance pays you if you are hospitalized, regardless of any other coverage you may have. This benefit pays a lump sum if you are admitted to the hospital for at least a 24-hour period.
